Heather Openshaw obtained an MBA & MPA from Presidio Graduate School with a focus on de-radicalization and tech governance responses to counter-extremism. She has researched emerging global data policies, counter-terrorism approaches, and information warfare. Heather’s

last research fellowship with Dangerous Speech Project tracked and analyzed online violence-inciting speech. Heather is a skilled communicator who is enthusiastic about creating accessible and relatable content for tech-curious people, as showcased by her podcast Tech Dirty 2 Me. She currently lives in Ohio where she spends her time with family and friends while pursuing her hobbies in vintage collectibles and outdoor sports.
